Krk [kr̩k] (Italian Veglia) is the largest and most important town, spa town and port in the bay of the same name on the west coast of the island of Krk, about 25 km from the Krk Bridge. The municipality has 6281 inhabitants, the village of Krk 3730 (2011 census). Krk is the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Krk.

The largest town on the island of Krk is Krk Town. The city already existed in Roman times and you can still see that from the city wall that runs around the city. Other famous sights are the Cathedral of the Assumption and the Frankopan Castle. Especially in summer it is a pleasant city with many tourists, so you will find many nice restaurants, shops and terraces here.
