  • The former district administrator of the district of Gronau (leash) August von Rheden died on 3 January 1907.His widow Elfriede von Rheden had a 2.5 m concrete tree in the shape of an oak in one of his favorite places in honor of August von Rheden. The oak would be cast in Hildesheim and transported by Eberholzen to the Nußberg with a real money horse-wagon.Elfriede von Rheden had a memorial stone placed in front of the oak tree in which a saying of Leonore from Goethe's play "Torquato Tasso" is carved:"The place that a good person entered
Is dedicated; sounds like a hundred years
His word and deed again to the grandson. "
