The Lindelbach Museum Quarry (also: Lützelbruch, Lützelgrundsteinbruch, Steinbruch am Lützelgrund) is a historic shell limestone quarry and a natural monument northwest of the Lindelbach district of Randersacker. On the approximately 15,000 square meter area there are numerous evidence of shell limestone mining, including the wooden derrick crane built in 1936 as an industrial monument. [1] Adjacent to the quarry is the Fanni House, which served the stonemasons as a weather shelter and tool forge.

        Historical quarry
The former quarry in Lindelbach ("Lützelbruch") is a historical monument. Stones were quarried here until 1985. It is an impressive scenic and geological attraction. You can see the rock structure, the ashlar limestone with its fissures, the "primeval sea floor" - the floor of the prehistoric shallow sea, as well as some technical evidence such as gripping tools, parts of lorries and the industrial monument derrick crane. This quarry provided material for many famous buildings, including the shell limestone cladding of the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
