Heinturm or Ossendorfer Warte
The archbishop of Mörs built the control room on the Heinberg around 1430. By 1540, this was even constantly occupied. During World War II the tower was under artillery fire, the damage was repaired after the war.

The Heinturm is the landmark of Ossendorf. The 15-meter-high tower was built in the Middle Ages and has been preserved to this day. It is a so-called Wartturm. The task of the Tower Guard was to warn the city of Warburg and the surrounding area of approaching enemy troops or robber gangs. The tower guard boarded the tower with the help of externally mounted ladders, which could be pulled up in case of danger. The tower itself is massively built in the lower area, in the upper part of the wall thickness is about one meter. The tower is not accessible. Nevertheless, a visit is worthwhile, because you have a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape from this location.
