A visit to the Imperial Park for the Imperial Villa and the Marble Castle is worthwhile.
Entrance to the park 5.50, if you are 60plus you get a €1 discount.
From the villa you should definitely go through the park to the marble castle.
Very nice park.

An insight into the life of the imperial family during the summer time. Franz - an almost manic hunter - collects hundreds of trophies and Elisabeth flees into her marble tea house and takes refuge in poetry. The park looks a bit neglected.

60 summers (July and August) the Emperor should have spent here in the villa in Bad Ischl! (Variation was probably not his cup of tea.) It is very impressive to wander through the rooms where Sissi and the Emperor once lived! One sees very private as the bedroom, but also business like the "gray room" where high visitors were received. The board has just been laid and every moment the emperor comes around the corner ....
