In 1447 the Church of San Bartolomé, better known as the Hermitage of El Cerrillo, was built. Its construction was financed through a donation from the Marquis of Santillana of 1,000 maravedíes, due to its poor condition at the end of the 17th century and beginning of the 18th century, it was rebuilt with granite stones. The last necessary reform was carried out in the 20th century. Currently, the Galapagar pilgrimage is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, in honor of Our Lady of the Forsaken.
