"The candelabra"

An aqueduct of our ancestors in the Hemsbachtal.

The road (L582) from Osterburken to Schlierstadt crosses the Rinschbach in the bottom of a valley; the aqueduct can be found there on the right.

Called "Kandel" by the population. The time of construction is unknown. Once upon a time, the meadows had to be watered in spring and summer before harvest in order to get good grass harvests. Today the meadows are overgrown and the Kandel is nearing its end.
