The village is located on the Schwallbach, a left tributary of the Schwabach. The Im Fleck corridor area borders in the northwest, the Wolfsbuck rises in the south and the Bergfeld lies in the northeast across the Schwallbach. A community road leads to Rohr to the district road RH 14 (1.8 km south-west) or to Defersdorf (1.2 km north). Another community road leads to Leitelshof (2.5 km east). [2]
story
The place was 1152 as "Wilere" [3] in a bull of Pope Eugene III. First mentioned in a document, in which the Heilsbronn monastery was confirmed that Abenberg Güter u. a. to have received in this place. [4] In 1732 there were 6 properties in Weiler according to Johann Georg Vetter's descriptions of the upper office. The landlords were the caste office in Schwabach (1), the rich alms of the imperial city of Nuremberg (1) and Nuremberg owners (von Pömer: 1, von Scheurl: 3). [5] Towards the end of the 18th century, there were 7 properties and a community shepherd's house in Weiler. The high court exercised partly the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach, partly the judge’s office in Roßtal. The village did not have a ruler. The landlords were the Kastenamt Schwabach (1 half yard), the state alms office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (2 half yards) and Nuremberg owners (von Pömer: 1 half yard; von Scheurl: 2 whole yards, 1 Köblergut). [6]
From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Schwabach. [7] In 1804 there were 8 properties in the village, 2 of which were subordinate to the Principality of Ansbach and 6 to the Imperial City of Nuremberg. [8]
In 1808, as part of the municipal edict, Weiler was assigned to the Rohr tax district, Section I. It also belonged to the Rohr rural community formed in 1818. [7]
