The Holzhausen Castle is a must for all Roman fans, as it is considered to be one of the best preserved forts along the Limes. The plan of the fence is still completely in place and in some cases up to three meters high. The foundation walls of all four gates and wall remnants of the staff building (Principia) can be seen.

If you want, you can also hike the three castles circular route. This is almost 10 kilometers long.
