    The clocktower was presented to the Islington Vestry in 1897 by Alfred Hutchinson. It was made in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the reign of Queen Victoria.

      If you're into history, this is a Grade 2-listed building. It was donated by Alfred Hutchinson to the Islington Vestry in honour of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.

      It's constructed from granite and cast iron. The Octagonal base of pink polished granite has three steps. The tower itself of cast iron and square in plan. A low panelled base has segmental pediments to four sides with openwork decoration to the tympanum and ball and spike finials; the main column fluted at
      the base with low relief portraits of Queen Victoria in wreathed roundels half way up; clock stage with decorated spandrels and fluted coved frieze to cornice; ogee top with spike finial. The clock tower forms a group with Christchurch, Highbury Grove
