The façade, divided by pilasters, ends with a tympanum. Above we find the statues of saints Peter (with the keys to the kingdom of heaven) and Paul (with the sword). Below are two frescoes that are currently not legible and for which restoration is planned.

The single-hall interior is divided into three bays and covered with a barrel vault, with eighteenth-century decorations. At the back there is a quadrangular apse that is narrower and lower than the nave.

The commemorative plaque with a Latin inscription, located in the church itself, reports the date of the start of construction (1656) and its completion (1666). The laying of the first stone took place exactly on May 17, 1656, by Camillo Castelli, with a procession of the people and a blessing given by the provost Agostino Terzaghi. Four years later, in 1660, the church was practically finished; stood "not far from the old church" and "permission" was requested from the Curia to transport the statue of the Blessed Virgin in procession from the old church to the new one on Sunday 29 November 1660. The finishing works and the construction of the facade continued until 1666, year of final completion.
