Beautiful Scottish town 🚲 architecture and surrounding area won’t disappoint you 🚲 NCN765 comes into the town from Dunblane 🚲 it’s a stunning ride with a few hills to climb but not too difficult 🚲 it’s a great ride if you want some “Doune time” (Scots Word for “down” is “doon”) 🚲

Castle Doune is an impressive medieval castle in a fantastic setting on the River Teith. The grounds are free to access and comprise a wide open space, perfect for a break from the saddle and a picnic. The castle grounds were used as the set for Winterfell in the first series of Game of Thrones - there is now a sign at the front of the castle marking this claim to fame.
