The chapel was built in 1729 in the Gonsenheim Forest as a result of a vow made by the Gonsenheimers. The current design of the 14 Holy Helpers Chapel is based on the new construction in 1895. The chapel is located at the end of Kapellenstrasse on the edge of the Gonsenheim Forest. Statues of the 14 Holy Helpers can be found in the high altar.
