The Falkenschlucht is a beautiful, year-round water-bearing gorge with steep rock faces (up to 100 m high). The length of the gorge is approx. 600 m, the base width 6 to 20 m and the walking time approx. 30 minutes.
The bike can be parked in front of the gorge entrance, the gorge itself is only accessible on foot. The area around the Falkenschlucht is an old initiation site with 3 magic circles (place of power). The first begins at the source in front of the “Eisernes Tor” car park, the second at the “Eiserner Tor” and the third at the entrance to the gorge. Especially with the “Iron Gate” you can feel the change in earth energy with your body immediately after the small river bridge, or you can measure it with a rod or a pendulum.Source: tuernitz.gv.at

The entrance to the gorge is right at the end of the Falkenschlucht MTB tour. You can't go any further by bike here, because now you have to walk. However, things get really serious in the gorge, the path is very steep, rocky and rooty up the gorge. Clip or flat pedal shoes are out of place here and you need proper hiking boots! You should definitely plan for this on your tour. It's very nice that you don't have to pay an entrance fee!!
