The crossing costs €2 and takes a few minutes. Be careful, tickets are on sale, on the Echill side, at the ferry house, which is not open before 9:30 a.m.!
However, you can buy the ticket from the driver when boarding, but only by credit card ;-)

Runs every 5 minutes, whenever there's people during opening hours. Really convenient to avoid the motorway bridge to get out of Rochefort.
