St. Michael's Gate (Slovak: Michalská brána) is the only surviving city gate of Bratislava's medieval city fortifications and is one of the city's oldest buildings. It was built in the 14th century and later remodeled in the Baroque style. The striking tower with its green onion dome is now a well-known landmark of the Old Town.

Inside the tower is the Museum of Weapons, part of the collection of the Bratislava City Museum. The exhibition displays historical weapons, armor, and information on the city's defenses and the history of the fortifications. Of particular interest are old swords, armor, and firearms from various eras.

A special highlight is the observation deck on the top floor of the tower. From here, you can enjoy impressive views over the rooftops of the Old Town, Bratislava Castle, and, on a clear day, even the surrounding countryside.

The Michael's Gate with its Weapons Museum is a worthwhile detour for culture-loving visitors and is located directly on the pedestrian zone – ideally accessible for cyclists passing through Bratislava.
