The Rhine Orange is a huge steel sculpture that rises like a kind of lighthouse into the sky exactly at the corner where the Ruhr flows into the Rhine after 219.3 kilometers, where the two rivers together form Europe's largest inland port. A nice beginning or a nice end for the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path.

"Rheinorange is the name of a sculpture erected in Duisburg-Kaßlerfeld in 1992 at the confluence of the Ruhr with the Rhine at Rhine kilometer 780. It was made of steel by the Cologne sculptor Lutz Fritsch and forms a landmark.
The sculpture is 25 meters high, seven meters wide, one meter deep and weighs 83 tons. The cost of production was over DM 400,000, which was donated by companies on the initiative of the Wirtschaftsjunioren of the Lower Rhine Chamber of Commerce. The name Rheinorange is a play on words. The luminous color is RAL 2004 = pure orange. "
