As a compensatory measure for the area-intensive construction of its new container handling station, Deutsche Bahn AG had a garden of triangulation designed by the State Survey Office of Baden-Württemberg created in 1998. On its west side of the station on the Solitude-Allee area is a part of the historic triangle network of 1818 to 1840 made land surveying reproduced in a scale model. The Solitude Avenue as the baseline of the first triangle is emphasized in the model by a bench seat. Stone pillars mark the vertices of the main triangle mesh. The rock types of the columns correspond to the geology of each location. Railway tracks embedded in the ground trace the lines of sight between the corner points.
