In 1968, a polisher was discovered in Aubencheul-au-Bac during work to widen the right bank of the Sensée. The megalith was then moved to Féchain at the level of the Saint-Vaast church.

This polisher dates from the Neolithic period (between the 10th century BC and the 30th century BC). It is a monolith, the upper part of which is hollowed out with pits and grooves. It was used for polishing flint axes. The cups are formed by the polishing of the face of the axes and the grooves by the cutting edges.

The polisher, the largest in the region, was listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments in 1980. This sandstone, which weighs around 7 tonnes, is 1.10 m high. It was part of a larger boulder 2.00 m wide by 4.00 m long.
