Built in 1902 by Emil Ritter von Horstig. He could not understand that the denominations found no common ground. That's why he wanted to build bridges and set an unmistakable sign of community. He decided to build a mountain church at a dizzying height and free for all denominations. He therefore did not have it consecrated by any religious community and expressed this with the saying "Come EVERYONE to me".
The little church was acquired by the Gröbming mountain rescue service in 1993.

It has pulled me back here because of the scenic beauties and the grandeur of this peace church. Who thinks it is set in stone by Peter Rosegger, namely "to keep silent and to be happy", can indeed experience blissful moments here. They are suitable for prayers, thanks and praises of God.
The way from the upper parking lot to Friedenskirchle is well signposted and easy to master even for 75+ with sturdy shoes and best walking sticks. But you should also be free from giddiness, although these passages are well secured.

The drive up the Stoderzinken Alpine Road is an experience in itself. Especially in the last third, where the road hugs the rocks to the starting point. On the short hike from the Rosemi Alm to the Alpengasthof Steiner, you get your first glimpse of the Dachstein glacier high above the forest. A beautiful, narrow path leads directly along the rocks to the chapel, which sits like an eagle's nest on the summit and offers a wonderful view over the Ennstal and to Gröbming and Aich-Assach. The Friedenskircherl is the most beautiful place in Austria
