Mountain Biking Highlight
The Wiesbüttsee and the Wiesbüttmoor directly behind it are a true natural idyll. The lake and especially the bog offer a habitat for many rare animals and plants. The lake was once artificially created and was used to ventilate and drain the silver, copper and lead mine tunnels in the area. The raised bog is a protected area. There is a campsite by the lake - maybe you will pitch your tent here?

"The Wiesbüttsee is located on the border between the Hessian and Bavarian Spessart. The lake is fed underground from the Wiesbüttmoor. Its natural overflow leads the water over the Wiesbüttgraben into the Aubach valley." Is on the Spessart Biken Tour No. 2.
