In Bogács, a settlement famous for its Bükkalja thermal bath, you will find a ground-floor lookout tower built on a hill next to the village. The lookout tower built of local red stone still offers a beautiful panorama.
Bogács is famous for its thermal water accidentally found during oil drilling and the red stone (dacite tuff) mined locally, from which several sights were built. The local stone also forms the basis of the Millennium Lookout Tower, which rises on the hill above Bogács; its hexagonal base, exposed side and tiled top give it a distinctive look.

The hill and the “ground floor” lookout offer a beautiful view of the area. Bogács is located below the lookout tower, the ranges of the southern Bükk rise in the northern direction, the flatter landscape of the Borsodi-Mezőség and the Hevesi plain unfolds to the south.
