Visočica is a mountain range in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Geologically, Visočica is part of the Dinaric Alps and consists largely of secondary and tertiary sedimentary rocks, mainly limestone and dolomite.

Visočica is a mountain range in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Geologically, Visočica is part of the Dinaric Alps and consists largely of secondary and tertiary sedimentary rocks, mainly limestone and dolomite. Due to subterranean non-porous geological layers, Visočica lacks the typical karst features of the nearby Herzegovina Mountains, which leads to sufficient water sources, even at altitudes of around 1500 to 1700 m. However, spring lakes tend to dry up quickly towards summer. Some smaller streams arise from these mountains as tributaries to adjacent rivers: the Ljuta in the east, the Rakitnica on its north and west slopes and the Neretva in the south. Notable peaks are Visočica (1736 m), Džamija (1974 m), Vito (1960 m), Veliki Ljeljen (1963 m), Crveni Kuk (1733 m) and Veliki Toholj (1837 m).
