Six years ago, the old observation tower on the highest point in the Creuzburg district of Scherbda, the 422-meter-high Stöckigberg, was demolished due to dilapidation. Almost overnight. Since then, emptiness has yawned there, a wound gaping in an exposed place. This was regretted not only by the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park administration. Now there is a new tower that two Scherbda craftsmen built from larch wood felled by the local construction yard. Carpenter Sebastian Witzani and roofer Sebastian Ebel have left their home village a wooden structure that is special and bears the signature of the congenial duo."Thanks to the two craftsmen for this masterpiece. The little temple turned out so beautiful. 🔝🙏👋
