This is where the weapons manufacturer Andreas Müller sharpened his knives, sabers, hatchets and axes.
He built a grinding mill on a piece of land which he acquired in 1786. In 1821, Pierre Gantenbein bought the grinding mill back and converted it into a grain mill. The mill was equipped with 3 water wheels.
