In winter, when the days are getting shorter and the sun is shining, then you should set off here! 😊 Why? - because from about 13: o clock ⏰ the sun is almost to set the whole valley lights.

Lake on the B 305 between Ruhpolding and Reit. Well suited with dog.

One of my most beautiful places I know in Chiemgau at all and at all seasons. Swimming is allowed, at three designated bathing areas. Dog owners can take their darling with them, but always only on a leash !! Otherwise, the usual rules apply to how to behave in a nature reserve so we all ultimately benefit. Here is a special tip: Full moon hike 🌕 between 21:30 🕤 and 22:00 😉 is a special experience. 🙋🏻♂️

In winter, when the sun ☀️ is very flat, if it seems so ☺️, it is worth a nice hike from about 13:00 🕜 as it illuminates the whole valley to the setting.

Always worth a visit, especially in winter, as here the circular trails are very well prepared for pedestrians.

The Lödensee is wonderfully embedded between Gurnwandkopf and Dürrnbachhorn, on the German Alpine Road. There is ample parking. Dogs are tolerated.

Many sections of the lake offer the opportunity for a refreshing swim.

Here you can still really alone for a swim to enjoy 🏊♂️

There are currently around the 3 lakes a beautiful, not very demanding, cross-country ski trail, which is, however, quite busy when the weather is nice. Also suitable for beginners or LL hikers.

Beautiful, fairly easy tour around the 3 lakes (Lödensee, Mittelsee and Weitsee) Depending on the water level, you can walk a large part directly on the water. Otherwise, the hiking trail runs at the top of the forest. Good if it is quite warm.
It is best to do it relatively early, otherwise there is swimming when the weather is nice
