Not far from Wettmar in the district of Thönse (near Hanover) you will find this unusual hunting lodge in the middle of a forest in a small clearing.
The building is apparently made entirely of iron and stands on about 5m high "stilts". At the bottom there is a kind of garage or shed. There are no ladders or stairs leading upstairs. What is in the cabin is unknown. Outside the cabin, a slightly larger headlamp is mounted, otherwise the suspected window openings are all locked.
Its construction seems to have taken place in the 1940s. The clients were the families Bahlsen and Tischbein. How long this hunting lodge was used, or whether it is still used in any way today is unknown.

Made of solid iron, the house stands on about 5 meters high stilts near Wettmar in the middle of the forest. Under the building, a garage was also constructed of metal. The house must have electricity and a water connection. In some forums is reported on extravagant parties that were celebrated there.

And there really was a pool. Concrete pool about 4x8 meters, water-resistant paint, water inlet and exit aid. See pictures ;-)
