Bike Touring Highlight
The Vaalserberg in Limburg is the highest mountain in the Netherlands with 322.70 meters, at the same time here is the border triangle of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. There is usually a lot going on up here, but it is well worth a visit with the restaurants, a playground for children, a maze and observation tower.

In 1928, a border monument was inaugurated on the German-Dutch-Belgian border. The monument consists of three stones that once stood at the border. In the new demarcation in 1926, the three stones were replaced by one. The community Vaals thereupon set off the old stones as a historical sight off the border again (Wikipedia).

Now in the Corona times, there is a large digital notice board that prompts people to wear a "mouth cap" and to keep their distance in several languages. There is even a queue of people waiting to be able to stand exactly on the three-country point (August 2020).
Addition (February 2021): There is no longer a billboard, but a large crowd of people without mouth and nose protection ...
