Nineteen hairpin bends of one of the symbolic climbs of the Orobic territory, the Nembro-Selvino climb, dedicated to twenty-two Bergamo cycling champions. The initiative is promoted by the Velo Club Selvino, on the occasion of the passage of the fifteenth stage of the 100th Giro d'Italia, scheduled for Sunday 21 May from Valdengo to Bergamo and passing through Selvino. The Bergamo club intends to celebrate some of the home cycling champions by dedicating to each of them one of the hairpin bends of the Selvino climb (see photo), one of the most loved by two-wheel enthusiasts, a real training gym for many of these champions who over the years have written the history of cycling and sport.

Heading towards the 19 hairpin bends that are leading from Nembro towards Salvino Pass, one of the roads that in 2011 became popular thanks to “Giro d’Italia”. At each bend, there is a notice on a signal about one of the famous cyclists, on the top a water fountain that after 12 km exposed to the sun it looked like a mirage.
