The Saliencia lakes are a group of lakes found in the Asturian council of Somiedo, in Asturias. They are located in the Somiedo Natural Park and are made up of the following: Calabazosa or Lago Negro, Cerveriz, Laguna de Almagrera or La Mina, and La Cueva).

The formation of the complex is based on lakes of glacial origin, with their corresponding communications through glacial valleys. Geologically it is an area with all the characteristics of glacial abrasion. The vegetation is also the typical aquatic one of the lakes, highlighting the gentian for its interest. Within the fauna, it is worth noting the presence of Cantabrian brown bears, otters, Egyptian vultures and golden eagles in the lake valley. The amphibian family deserves special mention, since most of the existing ones within the park are found in this area. The alpine and webbed newt, the common salamander, the common toad and the midwife, and the vermilion and long-legged frogs stand out.

This protected area is included in the Somiedo Biosphere Reserve. It was declared a natural monument on May 22, 2003.
