Iffigheimer Berg / Andreas Därr Tower
The Andreas-Därr Tower is located on a cone. The tower can be reached via the signposted 'wild boar' and 'deer' circular hiking trails or directly from the Krassolzheim-Nenzenheim connecting road.
The tower is open on Sundays from May to October. Outside of this time, the bowl can be obtained from the inns in Krassolzheim and Nenzenheim.
When the weather is good, you have a panoramic view of Würzburg, Rothenburg and Nuremberg from the tower

In April 1945, the front of the war reached the village of Nenzenheim. The Andreas-Därr-Turm on the Iffigheimer Berg offered the German soldiers an ideal front-line observation post. From it they had an unobstructed view far to the west, north, and south. But the enemy also knew this and tried to destroy the tower with artillery fire. Even today, silent witnesses of this event can be discovered on the Iffigheimer Berg. But the village was also hit really hard. Far too many people lost their lives. During this guided tour in the midst of the quiet forest idyll, learn more about the days of horror that shook the town of Nenzenheim.
