Aualm Kirchgasshütte

At the foot of the Bischofsmütze lies the beautifully embedded Aualm, where hikers and mountaineers like to meet. The Kirchgasshütte is known for its "Kasjausn". There are numerous different types of cheese to choose from, and guests are offered exclusively home-made products (cheese, bread, bacon, sausage, butter, milk,...). Many also come to the alpine pasture for the wonderful doughnuts. In the summer, around 70 different types of flowers can be found in the alpine pasture area. Austria's most popular LOWA hiking tour, which has been awarded the golden hiking shoe, leads directly past the Kirchgasshütte.
