1771 Mission founded by Spanish Franciscan Padre Junipero Serra. Restored from ruins 1908-1950. Rarely visited due to its remote location surrounded by Fort Hunter-Liggett military area. Museum, and access gate closed at 5, but walking around is usually possible. After hours water at a spigot in the back.
