Remains of a medieval castle complex on the 693 m high Schlossberg - accessible directly from the Goldsteig quality hiking trail via a crossroads to the castle chapel with 14 granite stations.

The Schlossberg is the roof of Tännesberg and whoever stands at the top will be rewarded with a wonderful panorama. The roofs of Tännesberg lie at your feet and the view extends far out into the Northern Upper Palatinate Forest Nature Park.

Here you stand at the remains of two medieval castles (upper and lower castle), which were probably captured and destroyed by Sweden during the Thirty Years War. In the first third of the 19th century, the ruins were torn down to the foundation walls. At the beginning of the 19th century, the mountain was also designed as a calvary. The white painted stone reliefs of the stations of the cross were added during a renovation in 1925.
