Altnabreac station forms the main focus of this settlement. It's a very rural stop but is a very useful access point to some brilliant riding.

The station was opened in 1874 probably as a passing and re-fuel or water yard rather than with the intention of using it as a passenger station.

Probably the most isolated railway station it's 11km from the nearest paved road and 18km from the nearest village.
