In the 11th and 12th centuries, former imperial forest areas north of Lauf were cleared and made arable. The Nuschelberg settlement was built on the western edge of this cleared island and was protected on a small hill. In 1275 the hamlet comprised two farms and the fiefdom of the Bavarian dukes. The small settlement then belonged to Günthersbühl, which was owned by the Pfinzing patrician family from Nuremberg from 1398 to 1764.
Sebastian Cammerer (from the Kämmerer family, who in Nuremberg belonged to the families of "honesty" and thus not to the Nuremberg patriciate, but to the second estate) acquired two of these farms in 1534 for a purchase price of 1010 guilders and built one instead of the old farmstead Manor house. In the Second Margrave War (1553) the property was damaged and later rebuilt. The manor house, named "Hallerschlösschen" after a subsequent owner family, the Haller von Hallerstein (1766-1815), is still standing. The tower with half-timbered extension and stone base is a listed building and is used as a restaurant.
