The Cap de la Chèvre (or Beg penn ar roz in Breton) is the southern cape of the Crozon peninsula, in western Brittany. Oriented towards the south, this cape faces the north coast of cape Sizun and closes the bay of Douarnenez (north-western limit of the bay). Covered with a short heather (Ash heather) and gorse (Ulex gallii) and (in the background) maritime pines and shrubs, the cape has retained a wild aspect although it also accommodates a semaphore (managed by the navy national). At the end of the cape, in good weather, we can see cape Sizun and the Ile de Sein on the left, the entire bay of Douarnenez, the Pointe de Pen-Hir, the Pointe Saint-Mathieu and the Ouessant Islands and Molène, and on the right the “piles of peas” (rows of rocky islands) and the cliffs which hide the entrance to the port of Camaret.
The Cap de la Chèvre was the object in the years 1990-2000 of measures to restore the open moor landscape (the soil of which had been degraded by an overcrowding of un-channeled tourists). He will soon see the reintroduction of sheep which will come to maintain the landes of the Conservatoire du littoral. fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cap_de_la_Ch%C3%A8vre
