The University of Altdorf, also Altdorfina or Academia norica, was the university of the imperial city of Nuremberg in Altdorf near Nuremberg, which was inaugurated in 1575 as an academy and raised to university in 1622. In 1809 it was dissolved by King Maximilian I of Bavaria.

The philosopher and mathematician Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz received his doctorate in both rights here in 1666 from Johann Wolfgang Textor, Goethe's great-great-grandfather; Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Waldstein (who later, during the Thirty Years' War, would become famous under the name Wallenstein) fought here as a student; Johann Heinrich Schulze, who discovered the sensitivity of silver salts to light, taught here as a professor, as did the mathematician and astronomer Johannes Praetorius.
