Mid-8th century
Silver jewelry rings, which were found as grave supplements in the former cemetery around the cathedral, refer to the middle of the eighth century and are the earliest evidence of a settlement. Saint Boniface founded the diocese of Eichstätt in 743/45, which included Eschenbach on its northwestern border.
Mid-10th century
Archaeological excavations in the Münster show that there is a small stone hall church, which in turn replaces an older wooden church.
Mid-12th century
A second stone hall church is built, which has a remarkable length of over 40 meters.
1189/90
Merchants from Lübeck and Bremen founded a hospital community during the third crusade in the Holy Land, which was elevated to a knightly order by the Pope in 1198 and called the "German Order". This will soon determine the fortunes in Eschenbach.
1200-1217
Proven time of creation by Wolfram von Eschenbach. The epics "Parzival", "Willehalm", "Titurel" and a few days and advertising songs are created. Place and person names in the work indicate the local Eschenbach as the poet's place of origin.
around 1212/20
Count Poppo von Wertheim transfers the patronage of the church in Eschenbach to the Teutonic Order. Wolfram von Eschenbach characterizes the Count of Wertheim in the "Parzival" as a "gentleman" who loves the good life.
