The route goes almost exclusively through the forest and past lakes Wandlitzsee / Liepnitzsee from Wandlitzsee station - Basdorf station. If you are interested, you can make a detour to the Waldsiedlung, the one and a half square kilometer large housing estate, which became known as a closed settlement for the members and candidates of the Politburo of the SED Central Committee.
