The Hohe Bogen is an approximately 8 km long ridge in the communities of Rimbach and Eschlkam. It is located between Furth im Wald, Neukirchen bei hl. Blood and Bad Koetzting. The former NATO towers are located on the highest elevation of the Hohenbogen, the Schwarzriegel (1079 m). In 2014, the listed main tower was provided with an external staircase with 239 steps and now serves as a lookout tower. The viewing platform is 50 m high and offers a magnificent view in all directions. Various hiking trails lead to the popular panoramic mountain with its five peaks: Burgstall (976 m), Bärenriegel (1017 m), Ahornriegel (1050 m), Eckstein (1073 m) and Schwarzriegel (1079 m).

a transformation takes place that is second to none. Where, during the "Cold War", the secret services and military of the western powers obtained information about the enemy in the east, a meeting place is being created that aims to be a symbol of peaceful coexistence in Europe.
