Tips
A church in Jabel was first mentioned in a document in 1256, and in 1346 an extension to the church was mentioned. The old church was devastated in the Thirty Years' War, then restored, but was completely destroyed in the village fire in 1859 except for the fieldstone sacristy, with four historic bells also melting. The current church was built in 1868.
