Take the shuttle from the Visitor Center to Tamarack campground/trailhead and return via the mostly level El Capitan trail and downhill along the Yosemite Falls back to the Visitor Center. Spectacular views along the ridge, from the top of El Capitan (high above the climbing walls) and Eagle Peak, few other visitors.
