The Neije Kreiter is a closed post mill in the Dutch village of Volkel. It serves as a flour mill.

Originally, the predecessor of this mill stood on a mill hill on the Kerkhofpad since 1753. In 1905 it was rebuilt on its current location. A tower mill was built in 1900 in the vicinity of the original location and the post mill was no longer needed there. The tower mill burnt down in 1949. In 1935 De Neije Kreiter was badly hit by fire, but after that it was rebuilt with parts from a much smaller mill, making the mill look a bit unusual with a relatively large standard. In 1983 the mill went downhill during a storm and burned out almost completely. The current mill is not an exact copy of the mill, but a normal proportioned post mill.

The Neije Kreiter is equipped with 1 pair of 17der artificial stones, with which grain is ground on a voluntary basis. The mill can be visited on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The wooden windmill is of the 'standerd' type and this region (I am talking about the north-eastern part of North Brabant and southern part of Gelderland) is much more likely to be spotted. This has a nice warm color, which improves the appearance.
