The decision to build the new parish church was made on May 24, 1900. The inauguration ceremony of the new parish church in Stenden took place on June 2nd, 1902.

The cross-shaped baroque stone building shows predominantly Romanesque elements. Some details are also taken from the early Gothic period.

The parish church is open to visitors before and after services. Church tours are possible in consultation with the local history association.

The neo-Romanesque architecture, unique in Gelderland, characterizes the church down to the last detail, be it the censer or the high altar. The latter is the pride of the parish. Also because it was renovated a few years ago.
