The Bramschebach rises in Herford-Schwarzenmoor near the Dornberg and flows about 6 kilometers further into the Werre. The Bramschebach and its tributary the Nagelsbach are surrounded by the 197 hectare nature reserve "Bramschebach / Nagelsbach Valley". This extends from Herford to Löhne. Above all, the near-natural course of the stream shapes the charm of this beautiful, small stream.
