Tips

  • This is a great place to go hiking with children as you can do a loop of the roughs in around 3km and there is lots to keep them entertained during the walk. The paths are varied and the huge beech tree, the Witches Broom, is particularly fun to discover for both children and adults alike. There is also a big grassy area near the car park which makes for a wonderful picnic spot with amble space for a game of cricket, rounders or football.
