Oberwiederstedt Castle

Novalis - a German writer of early romanticism and philosopher.
The castle is located in Wiederstedt, a small village in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz (Saxony-Anhalt).
In addition to many contemporary witnesses of his work in the Novalis Museum, you will find the research center for early romanticism and the headquarters of the International Novalis Society and the Novalis Foundation "Venturing Ways with Novalis" within its time-honored walls.

Part of the former Dominican convent became Oberwiederstedt Castle after its dissolution. It is shaped in the style of the Renaissance.
