Kirn's city center offers an insight into the architecture and history of five centuries. The buildings of the princely family of Salm Kyrburg, which were created primarily by the court architect Johann Thomas Petri in the 18th century, are particularly impressive. The two churches and many beautiful half-timbered houses also invite you to take a tour of Kirn city center, which provides an exciting and informative look back into the past.

Buildings from five centuries can be found in downtown Kirner and especially around the market square. Particularly worth seeing are the buildings of the princely family of Salm Kyrburg, which were mostly built by the court architect Johann Thomas Petri in the second half of the 18th century. But the two churches and an impressive number of charming half-timbered houses also make a tour of Kirner's city center an interesting and at the same time exciting excursion into the past.
There are small information boards on numerous house facades that inform the visitor about the history of the respective building.
