The "rest area" and the "Krumbach Trail" are part of the "Elisabeth Path" pilgrimage trail.

This section of the pilgrimage trail leads from Dünsberg, past Krumbach, first to an idyllic pond (MTB highlight "Wassergrasteich"), and then via the "Krumbach Trail" into the Verstal valley. The Krumbach River flows directly past the rest area and joins the Vers River a few hundred meters further on in the village of Kirchvers. While Krumbach is still part of the Giessen district, the rest area is already in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district.
